This picture is of an adult goose and its offspring. Why does the baby goose look different?

Answer

The baby goose and its parent look different because offspring and adults look similar, not exact. The geese both have two legs, two wings, similar shaped bills, and bodies. They are different colors because the baby goose has not gotten its feathers yet and is much smaller than the adult goose.
